+Van and Hitomi+ Wait...

She was leaning against the rails of the ship when he came up from the meeting, and everything in her posture told him she was upset about something. The dress she'd borrowed from Celena looked nice on her, he'd noticed before she'd gone out of the room with the others. Part of him refused to place that image in his head however, as he always had remembered her in that uniform of hers.

She'd come back, and everything was different.

Subconsciously, he shifted positions but stood his ground, placing a hand on the hilt of his sword while the wind plucked at his shirt and hair. Ocean wind was always the coldest.

His small movement must have caught her attention, for she stopped leaning on the rail abruptly and stood rigid and still looking out over the water. Van had the feeling she knew he was the one standing there, and wondered if she was finding awkward that he was staring.

But she didn't say anything... or give any sort of recognition at all.

He was beginning to wonder if he should just quietly retreat - surely she didn't want him there - and had taken a few steps towards the front of the merchant's ship when she'd turned slightly, her hair sliding across her face.
The wind threatened to snatch away her words, but he heard them nonetheless. Her voice quieter than usual. A little less confident than normal. "Wait... don't go." Followed by a whisper of his name that rooted his feet to the deck.
He waited for more words, but they never came.

Argh... just a little snippit of something to go with the picture. Yes.. this takes place after the series, and I added a tattoo thing like van has in the movie. He's still got a red shirt on, but it's different

Next escaflowne picture I do, I won't do Hitomi's hair in my own way... it makes her look too different. It hardly even looks like escaflowne I used a reference to draw hitomi's dress

Van's eye looks f-ed up, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't fix it...bugger thing.
I don't like this so much...
