Commission for
Fanart for Kare Kano, aka "His and Her Circumstances". I fell in love with the anime, and the manga is even better, so I was thrilled when =FaZhou asked for these two, as I'd never given any thought to drawing them before. Characters Miyazawa, Yukino and Arima, Soichiro. I honestly think they're one of the best couples in the anime/manga world, as well as many of the other pairings in the series. Commission for: =FaZhou Characters from Kare Kano and (c) to respected owner. Art (c) me! PS I blow at backgrounds |

Where to begin? I love the soft-focus effect of the shading, as well as the nice counterpoint between warm and cool colors. I am amazed at all the details--you have all the fine points of the costumes down pat, and you've added some really neat touches on the background. The bright fireworks serve as a great focal point, and naturally emphasize the passion in their relationship. This has a stop-action look to it--that there's a sense of anticipation...what is he thinking? Yukino seems to have an expression of concern, perhaps even worry. Perfect, in my opinion, for what they have to endure in the later books of the manga (the dark stuff isn't covered in the anime). In this single illustration you've put across much of the message of the entire story.
Please keep going with your art career! This is one of the best pieces I have ever been involved with. It truly accomplished what I was looking for...I am most proud to have sponsored it, and of course am adding it to the top of my favourites!
